Well, I'll be damned, somebody's scoring the chances for the leafs.

I just found out your site trough my google analytics report.

Pretty darn glad to see there is one more of us than I tought! Between yours and mine, it'll be interesting to see if there is a way to do some cross-referencing and have a look at the Northeast division as a whole...

Other than that, congratulation for making it to the end of the season. It gets pretty grueling at times, eh?

Hey Olivier, thanks for the comment and for the shout out at MC79's site. Your site is included among my links and I visit your site every so often in an attempt to keep up with how the Habs are doing, despite my almost complete ignorance of the French language. It will be interesting to compare teams at the end of the season.

I've been tracking chances for the Leafs since after the first week of the season. I found the link to the scoring chance app. at Gospel of Hockey and decided to take a crack at it myself. At the time, I did not expect to do it for the whole season but here we are. It does get tedious sometimes, particularly against trap teams like the Florida Panthers, but no point in stopping now.

Good point about trapping teams.

My personal bane is the habs western swings; it seems I always end up at 12:45 in the morning, watching the Sedins plugging a 7th goal past Price with 7 minutes left on the clock.

Hate, hate these.

Plus, the habs aren't a very high-event team; the Leafs, at least, look pretty darn interesting in that angle.

I don't follow them that much, but I have one question: why trade Ponikarovski? It seems to me that the team isn't as rotten as their standings shows, especially now that they have legit goaltending, and that a turnaround next year is highly probable. In other word, I think the Leafs's outlook is pretty interesting short-term, and that kind of guy can be pretty useful to a competitive team, no?

But then again, the very little I've seen of Caputi tells me the kid can amount to something solid pretty quickly too...
