NHL Equivalencies (Goals-Assists-Points):
- Dmitry Vorobiev 6-22-28
- Carl Gunnarsson 7-12-19
- Leo Komarov 6-13-19
- Jerome Flaake 5-11-16
- Korbinian Holzer 4-6-10
I can't find a league translation for the Slovak league, so Juraj Mikus isn't included.
Vorobiev and Komarov have committed to two-year contracts with KHL teams. Flaake has one more year on his contract with the Cologne Sharks of the DEL (German national league), and I believe Holzer is still under contract with his DEL club as well. Gunnarsson and Mikus will play for the Marlies this upcoming season.
I don't know very much about any of these guys. I've heard that Vorobiev is a well-rounded defender who is the most NHL-ready of all the Leafs Euro prospects, but it seems that he isn't that anxious to cross the ocean. Gunnarsson is "(c)onsidered an all-around defenseman with good puck-moving abilities, he has the ability to take care of his own end and make a smart outlet pass" (from Hockey's Future). The other defencemen, Holzer and Mikus, are a couple of big boys who need to fill out their frames. Komarov is an agitating pest, he has been compared to fellow countryman Jarko Ruutu.
The Russian, Swedish, and Finnish leagues track icetime:
Average Icetime (KHL, SEL FNL):
- Vorobiev 21:15
- Gunnarsson 19:14
- Komarov 15:24
